![]() ![]() On the VG278H and the XL2720T, the 800:1 ratios are achievable when following the LightBoost FAQ entry, " Q: How to calibrate for better color and maximum contrast?" (worse lightboost trailing artifacts) versus " Q: How to calibrate for minimum motion artifacts?" (worse color). (NOTE: Sometimes it's nonuniform - 950:1 in center of screen, and 700:1 at corner of screen - BLB interference with contrast ratio) While there's many VG278H's and XL2720T's ranging from 650:1 contrast all the way up to nearly 1000:1 contrast ratio. ![]() I guess I need dual 690's to drive 1080p BF3 at 120 constant.wow.Ĭlick to expand.Yep, but even a calibrated VG248QE seems to barely break 500:1 contrast ratio in LightBoost. I thought I might be able to hold 120fps with my set-up but I guess not. Before I had my FPS limited to 60 since I was using a 60hz monitor and it stayed at 60. I guess I just need to get used to proper brightness.Īnother unfortunate aspect is that on my rig (i7 2500k 4.6ghz and GTX690 ) my average frames on BF3 were only about 80 1080p on a full 64-player multiplayer game with max settings. Most of the calibration settings I've tried also seem very dark, but then again I always thought that on my Dell, too. What calibrations are you guys using? I tried using the ICC profile + OSD settings from and it seemed way too reddish compared to my calibrated Dell U2312HM. Currently I'm running at 144hz and getting a lot better color, comparable to my old VS248H-P (60hz). It also caused the top left corner to become very noticeably more red. However, the image quality is so dull and generally just BAD that I can't stand to leave it on. Yeah I tried lightboost and from a blur perspective it is truly incredible. ![]()
